Come and See... is the theme for our Lenten Wednesday Zoom gatherings. Join Mary Burntitus as we reflect upon the Apostle Paul and his conversion which opened his eyes so that he turned from darkness to light. The first Zoom gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 7:00 pm.
Our Lady of Hope, in conjunction with the Northeast Regional Food Bank, is holding a FOOD DRIVE THRU. Families in our area and beyond are invited to drive thru and have a box or two of food placed in their cars. The drive thru will be held on Thursday, February 18th from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please spread the word.
DIOCESAN APPEAL One great opportunity -- and challenge -- we have each year is our Diocesan Appeal campaign (formerly the “Bishop’s Appeal”). The appeal runs from the beginning of July to the end of June, so we are a little over halfway to the campaign deadline, but unfortunately, with all the struggles we have all had to face since July, only about one-third of the way to meeting the $30,000 the diocese needs and expects from us. (And as we know, whatever we cannot raise through donations will have to come from our parish savings.) With all this is mind, we will be putting out a second-collection basket each Saturday and Sunday. We will then mail all the checks we receive to the diocese. (Checks should be payable to “Diocesan Appeal.” NO CASH, PLEASE.) Thank you!

2020 Peter’s Pence --- Collection for the Charitable Works of the Holy Father July 25/26, 2020 --- Next week our second collection will be for Peter’s Pence, which supports the charitable works of Pope Francis. Catholics around the globe support this collection to help the Holy Father reach out to people suffering in our world, especially those enduring the effects of war and violence, natural disasters and religious persecution.
