Our mission
as the parish community of
Our Lady of Hope
is to give witness to the love of Jesus in our families, our parish community and the world.
Our parish has a wonderful spirit and all of us together make that possible. Many people, who were here before us, believed that God is bringing us together and guiding our steps. They often asked, "What if …?" or "Why not …?" They gave thanks for what is and they hoped for what could be. We ask the same questions and share the same hope. Those who come after us will continue the same tradition that has been fashioned by the people of Our Lady of Hope, St. Bridget, St. John Vianney, Sacred Heart and Holy Cross.
C.A.N. (Churches Assisting Neighbors)
We are God's people working together to assist our neighbors who are experiencing an unexpected need for assistance with things that are essential for daily life. The C.A.N. program offers some limited assistance. Contact the C.A.N. cell phone: (518) 821-6931. You will be contacted within 24 hours.
Becoming a C.A.N. volunteer:
Because the requests for emergency assistance are very infrequent, being a volunteer does not require a lot of time. C.A.N. volunteers carry a mobile phone to receive calls, gather information from the caller and communicate the details to the C.A.N. volunteers for action. We always welcome more volunteers.
