Our mission
as the parish community of
Our Lady of Hope
is to give witness to the love of Jesus in our families, our parish community and the world.
Our parish has a wonderful spirit and all of us together make that possible. Many people, who were here before us, believed that God is bringing us together and guiding our steps. They often asked, "What if …?" or "Why not …?" They gave thanks for what is and they hoped for what could be. We ask the same questions and share the same hope. Those who come after us will continue the same tradition that has been fashioned by the people of Our Lady of Hope, St. Bridget, St. John Vianney, Sacred Heart and Holy Cross.
Through prayer or visitation the parish community reaches out to people who are in correctional facilities, healthcare facilities or are home-bound.

Volunteers offer hospitality by serving a light lunch and snacks. Nearby churches take turns providing the food. Contact: Yvonne Acevedo at (347) 387-6729
Food Pantry & our Blessing Box
Donations of non-perishable food are accepted all year round. Food can be left in the parish hall and volunteers distribute donations to area food pantries and fill our Blessing Box and refrigerator behind the church building.. During week-end Mass a basket of food is included in the Offertory procession as a reminder that care for the needy is an essential part of who we are as a community.
Members of the parish reach out to elders in our community by providing gift cards and Christmas food specialties.
